Foster for a few weeks. Save a life you don't have to keep.
Shelters run out of space every kitten season (April–September). Fosters take a cat or a litter for 2–8 weeks — the shelter covers food and vet care. It's the single highest-impact thing a cat person can do, and it doesn't require adopting.
